📢Professor Hesham El-Ghazaly, President of the Egyptian Cancer Society, participated in the Vision Europe 2030 conference held in Brussels, Belgium (September 2-3, 2025), at the invitation of the European Alliance for Personalized Medicine (EAPM) and the International Cancer Patient Consortium (ICPC).
🎯 His participation focused on:
– Integrating Africa into global clinical trials and research as a strategic step towards achieving health equity and fostering innovation.
– Presenting the Egyptian experience as a leading model through the research center at Ain Shams University and its fruitful international collaborations with leading universities such as Fudan University in China and MD Anderson Cancer Center in the United States.
– The importance of precision medicine as an approach to improving healthcare and providing effective personalized treatment for patients.
🌍 The key message: Africa is not an option, but a strategic necessity for building a more equitable and inclusive global research system, and Egypt is proving its ability to be a leading scientific hub on the continent.
