Professor Dr. Hesham El-Ghazaly, Chairman of the National Committee for the Presidential Initiative for Women’s Health and President of the Egyptian Cancer Society, participated as part of the official Egyptian delegation in the discussions held on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York (September 22–25, 2025).
📌 Dr. El-Ghazaly presented Egypt’s vision and achievements in combating breast cancer, which have made Egypt the first country to achieve the three performance indicators leading to a 40% reduction in mortality by 2040. He also reviewed innovative digital and scientific solutions for cancer prediction and prevention using artificial intelligence and big data.
🤝 This participation took place alongside prominent leaders and experts in global health, and the discussions emphasized the need to unify efforts to achieve equity in cancer care, particularly in low- and middle-income countries.
🔎 He also represented Egypt at international cancer control meetings and global alliances, where the Egyptian national strategy was presented as an inspiring model that can be adopted globally.
