The Egyptian Cancer Society celebrated Pink October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, on October 27, 2025, by organizing a scientific symposium. Professor Hamdi Abdel-Azim, Professor of Oncology at Kasr El Aini Hospital and a pioneer in breast cancer treatment in Egypt, delivered a lecture entitled “Winning the Battle Against Breast Cancer in 2025.” The event was attended by members of the Board of Directors:

as well as leading professors of oncology in Egypt, all with the aim of raising awareness about breast cancer.
This event coincided with the Egyptian Cancer Society signing a memorandum of understanding with Eva Pharma to strengthen their collaboration. The memorandum aims to enhance public health awareness about cancer and expand continuing medical education and training programs for physicians specializing in oncology. The collaboration includes implementing innovative awareness campaigns through social media, producing educational content and reliable scientific messages to promote prevention and early detection, and supporting the scientific seminars and training activities regularly organized by the association.
The collaboration also includes supporting the association in renewing its membership in the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) to enhance its international presence and participation in global research initiatives. The Egyptian Cancer Society affirms that these joint efforts reflect its ongoing commitment to supporting cancer patients, developing educational and medical services, and partnering with supporting institutions to achieve a sustainable health impact in Egyptian society.
