Federation of Arab Scientific Research Councils Participates in the Second Regional Conference of Francophone University Presidents in the Middle East C2R
His Excellency the Secretary General of the Federation of Arab Scientific Research Councils, Dr. Abdelmajid Benamara, participated as a representative of the Federation in the Second Regional Conference of Francophone University Presidents, hosted by the University of Sharjah under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Hamad Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and in the presence of the President of the University of Sharjah, Humaid Al Nuaimi, the Regional Director of the University Agency of Francophonie in the Middle East, Jean-Noel Balliet, the President of the Conference of University Presidents in the Middle East, Father Salim Daccache, Jesuit, and the Dean of the University Agency of Francophonie, Professor Salim Khalbous.
In his speech, His Excellency the Secretary General of the Federation, Dr. Abdelmajid Benamara, stressed the encouragement and support of the participation of Arab and Francophone institutions in European projects, especially Horizon Europe and Erasmus Plus; supporting multilingual publishing in quality scientific journals; as well as financial support for journals published in Arabic and/or French; In addition to supporting university mobility (professors, researchers, employees and administrators) between Arab and Francophone universities and research centers, and introducing successful experiences in the field of digitization in higher education and scientific research. It is worth noting that this meeting brought together about fifty academic figures, most of whom were university presidents, to conduct a collective reflection process on the orientations of the University Agency of Francophonie and its future strategy.
