With Great Honor and Pride: The Egyptian Cancer Society Participates in a Key Discussion Session

The Egyptian Cancer Society proudly and honorably took part in an important discussion session with representatives of Arab oncology associations and international organizations. During the session, a new Arab alliance agreement was signed, bringing together oncology associations from various Arab countries, supported by international organizations and the Federation of Scientific Research Councils of the Arab League, to enhance scientific collaboration and advance cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Agreement Objectives:

  • Strengthening scientific cooperation among Arab countries.
  • Advancing cancer research, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • Supporting human capacities and research infrastructure.

Key Achievements:

  • Emphasizing early detection initiatives across the region.
  • Enhancing treatment services through knowledge and technology exchange.
  • Engaging the private sector in funding research and providing advanced medications.

Outstanding Efforts:

  • Egypt’s early detection initiatives, covering over 22 million women.
  • Saudi Arabia’s programs, offering free screenings and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
  • Scientific research support through specialized centers in Jordan and other Arab countries.

This took place as part of the 17th International Conference on Breast and Gynecological Oncology, held in Cairo from January 23 to 24.
