Establishment
The Egyptian Cancer society (ECS) was founded in 1991 as a branch of Egyptian medical association, it is an independent non-profit association and dose not issue licenses.
Now, it is recognized as a separate identity according to the Social Security Egyptian Law under the number (9664) on September 2014.
Since 2011 The ECS had an agreement with the American Society of clinical oncology (ASCO) to hold an annual meeting under the name THE BEST OF ASCO where the most outstanding research presented during the ASCO are selected to be presented in Egypt. This will help most of the oncologist in Egypt and regional countries who were unable to travel to USA to get this new information at a reduced cost.
The membership to the society is open to all cancer related specialties medical or non-medical the application forms are available online.
